This video depicts some ways the Wabash County Work Release Program has changed and enhanced the lives of three individuals. Work Release is Community Corrections program that provides intensive supervision and services for adults convicted of a non-violent felony or misdemeanor offense. The program participants may be placed in the program as an alternative to traditional incarceration or immediately following incarceration. Wabash County Court Services is comprised of Probation and Community Corrections departments.
Wabash County Court Services is pleased to announce the Wabash County Commissioners and the Wabash County Council have approved funds that will allow our Community Corrections Work Release program to continue serving our community by building a new facility! The strong support received from various work release employers, Otis R. Bowen Center, Wabash Parkview Hospital, Wabash County Judges, Wabash County Prosecutor, the public and the Wabash County Bar Association show just how vital this program is to the betterment of our community.
