POPAI extends sympathy to everyone in Allen County Probation after learning Juvenile Probation Officer Dustin Brown died in November.
He graduated from Wayne High School in 2003, earned a 4 year scholarship to Ball State University, where he graduated from, with a Bachelors in Criminal Justice and Psychology in 2008.
Dustin was employed through the Allen County Juvenile Center as a Juvenile Probation Officer. He coached wrestling and football at Snider High School for 7 years and New Haven High School football for 2 years, ROTC all 4 years of high school and loved the Pittsburgh Steelers football, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Pittsburgh Penguins.
Dustin married his wife, Mary Melissa (Zwierko) Brown, on November 26, 2011 at St. Charles Borromeo Church in Fort Wayne.
Dustin is survived by his loving wife, Mary Melissa (Zwierko) Brown, she resides in Fort Wayne, along with their sons, Dwight Joseph Brown (11), Edwin Eugene Brown (9), their daughter, Eleanor Grace Brown (4); his mother, Suzanne Brown, of Fort Wayne; a sister, Sarah (Brown) Northcutt and Michael Northcutt II; nephews, Clinton Northcutt and Tyler Bailey; a niece, Ava Northcutt of Fort Wayne; a brother, Corey Bailey.
He was preceded in death by his father, Steven Brown on January 31, 1995.
A visitation for Dustin will be held Friday, November 24, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes – Maplewood Park and from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes – Maplewood Park, 4017 Maplecrest Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46815. A prayer service will begin at 5:00 PM. A funeral mass will be on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at 10:30 AM at, St. Charles Borromeo Church, 4916 Trier Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46815, with visitation one hour prior.
The family is requesting donations be made to the leukemia and lymphoma society. We know this is what Dustin would have wanted.
