On Thursday, December 9, 2004, the first annual “Clothes for Clients” Clothing Drive was held at the Marion Superior Court South Probation Office, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Adult probation & Court staff donated clothing items to be distributed to clients in need of coats, clothing and shoes. A large amount of clothing was collected and redistributed to assist nearly 40 families this holiday season. 300 pounds of snacks and bottled water were donated by Second Helpings. These refreshments were provided to the families after they selected their clothing items. A special thank you to the volunteers who donated their time to prepare for the event and assist clients in making clothing selections, they include: Cathy Johnson, Lori White, Chantel Huff, Keebra Werden, Lisa Thompson, Brooke Duerigen, Billie Martin, Jill Foxworthy, Joanna Smith, Georgette Sims, Sharyl Ramsey, Heidi Skaggs, Patti Cushingberry, Thurmon Cushingberry, Joe Hodson, Christine Kerl, David Schwarz, Turran Hill, Liz Cooper, and Southside Work Crew. This event was a great success during its first year and we hope to make this clothing drive even bigger and better in 2005!
