The POPAI Founders Award is awarded to individuals who significantly contributed to the field of probation in general, and specifically to the POPAI organization. According to the letters of support, Linda has served on numerous state-wide committees and boards including the Court Alcohol and Drug Program Advisory Committee, the Probation Officers Advisory Board, and currently serves as President of POPAI. Her involvement in these groups has been instrumental in making positive and progressive changes in the supervision of offenders.
It is noted that Linda has been on the forefront of advocating for our profession and influencing positive change.
According to Judge Terry Harper, Linda's local impact has been tremendous during her tenure. She has applied her experience, expertise and knowledge on various board and committees advocating for youth; education; addiction prevention and treatment; and victims. Judge Harper states, "Linda provides strong leadership in her department moving the organization into effective evidence based practices."
