George Walker
George Walker was the 2001 recipient of the Founders Award. Mr. Walker began his career with the Miami County Probation Office. In 1991, he assumed the position of Probation Services Coordinator with the Indiana Judicial Center. He was later hired as the Chief Probation Officer for Marion County Superior Court. Mr. Walker is currently employed as the Chief United States Pretrial Services Officer for the Central District of California.
Mr. Walker was an active member of POPAI and served as President of the organization for two years. He was instrumental in helping to develop the Fall Conference, Chief Probation Officer Summit, and Corporate Membership program. Mr. Walker received his Bachelors and Masters Degree from Indiana State University.
