A message from the Putnam County Adult Probation Department:
It is with great sorrow that we inform you of the passing of one of Putnam County’s Probation Officers, Kim Thibodeau. On August 31, 2021, Kim lost a hard-fought battle with breast cancer. Kim was one of the finest, most dedicated employees to pass through the doors of our department. Her dedication to public safety and the rehabilitation of offenders was of utmost importance to her, and it was reflected in her stellar work ethic. Kim was employed in our department from 1999 to the present year, giving her 22 years of service to Putnam County. Prior to her employment with our department, Kim was employed as an adult probation officer in Montgomery County for five years, beginning in 1994. She was also one of Putnam County’s Interstate Compact Officers and was certified to complete drug and alcohol evaluations. To know Kim was to love her. Her kind heart and ability to see the good in others was truly an asset to our department. Her presence here will be greatly missed. We ask that you keep her husband Patrick, son Johnathan, and daughter Addy in your thoughts and prayers.
