The Intake Probation Officer/Youth Specialist – Juvenile Division (Part-Time/Weekends) is a hybrid position that is responsible for providing a variety of probation and direct care functions for youth entering the Juvenile Intake Center on behalf of the Elkhart County Court Services. More specifically, this position will work either a 12 hour PM or 12 hour AM shift on weekends, primarily from the Juvenile Intake Center, with the main focus of completing intake assessments on juveniles referred by law enforcement to determine if the juvenile is detained in secure detention or released on an alternative to detention while awaiting a court hearing. Purpose Of Position:
