The 2021 Court Reform grants application period is now open. Applications are open to be submitted by judges from any courts in Indiana due no later than November 27, 2020. For 2021, courts are able to request grant funds from these categories:

Improving Court Safety and Security

Courts may request grant funds for projects related to improving safety and security for court staff or others using the court building.

Technological Innovation

Courts may request grant funds for projects focused on utilizing technology to: improve customer service, process or manage cases, or improve other aspects of court operation.  These should not interfere with the operation of Odyssey or INcite, but rather be focused on new methods of assisting litigants and court staff.  For example: (1) a court may be interested in establishing a publicly accessible video conference work station within the courthouse or at a remote location to conduct court-related business; or, (2) a court may wish to implement a wayfinding system to assist courts in managing party check-in and display when cases will be called on the docket.

Genius Grants

Courts may request grant funds for innovative projects that aren’t already addressed or limited by the other category. These should be focused on improving the administration of justice, in all its facets.
