POPAI Board Meeting Minutes for 05/06/2021

New Business
The purpose of the meeting was to select a Vice President to fill the recent vacancy due to the resignation of the President of the Association.
Two candidates submitted an application to Heather Malone, Chair of the Elections Committee. Both candidates’ membership status was verified and both were declared qualified to assume the office in accordance with the Bylaws. The information submitted by the candidates was sent to the remaining members of the Board for consideration prior to the meeting.
Discussion held. Bob Schuster made a motion to select Sarah Lochner to fill the remaining term for Vice President that ends in September 2021. Heather Malone seconded the motion. The motion passed. It should be noted that Lindsey Villalpando was not able to attend the meeting, but sent her vote to Troy Hatfield prior to the meeting and Troy announced her vote when the motion was called.
Troy stated that he would call both candidates and let them know the Board’s decision and he adjourned the meeting.
