Don’t miss this exciting opportunity!

Keynote Presentation: Evidence Based Practices: What Every Corrections Professional Should Know

This presentation will provide an overview of the key, contemporary research findings that are critical to public safety and offender Risk Reduction. Each of the core findings will be translated into practical tools that guide the day-to-day work of corrections professionals. Throughout the session, participants will have opportunities to consider how their current practice aligns with these research findings and to discuss the degree to which they/their agency have access to an array of risk reduction tools. Presented by Mark Carey.

Closing Presentation: Continuous Quality Improvement: You Don’t Need a Cadillac when a Chevy will do!

EBP practices alone do not ensure recidivism reduction. In fact, most change efforts fail because managers and supervisors do not pay sufficient attention to key aspects of
implementation/post implementation and neglect quality assurance and continuous quality improvement processes. This session will focus on small, short and easy ways to begin measuring quality in order to assure that participants accrue the benefits evidence-based practices offer to public safety.
