SOUTH BEND —When Wayne Kuritz enlisted in the Air Force in 1971, toward the end of the Vietnam War, he was among those U.S. troops who felt they had little support from their fellow Americans on the home front.
But on Monday, as Kuritz became the first graduate of the St. Joseph County Veterans Court, he marveled at the help and support available for soldiers, at least in the local community.
